The "Fair Urban Charter 2024" is a public forum and citizen initiative launched in response to Bangladesh’s urgent need for constitutional reform, especially regarding urban rights. Following the July 2024 Uprising, this event gathers citizens, activists, and professionals to advocate for the "Right to a Fair Urban Life," aiming to ensure inclusive, safe, and sustainable urban environments. Supported by the campaign “The City Belongs to All,” the forum collects public aspirations and promotes dialogue on themes like equitable access to services, housing, and green spaces. The Charter, reflecting collective urban needs, will be submitted to the Constitutional Reform Committee for integration into Bangladesh's revised constitution.
